The therapeutic method of cupping has been recorded since the Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). Typically a small glass jar is applied to an area, creating a vacuum. The suction is lifting and stretching the fibers to reduce stagnation, swelling and pain. This releases the tension and brings in fresh circulation and nourishment.
